Steve Finney

Steve is a highly skilled teacher who specialises in all fretted stringed instruments. Steve not only teaches Guitar, but can also teach Bass, Ukulele, Banjo & Mandolin.

Steve has been teaching fretted string instruments for over 30 years and attained his Certified teacher status with The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music in 1999.

Steve is not just a teacher, and has been playing guitar and bass guitar, in bands across the Midlands for years. Steve is an extremely skilled musician able to cover all styles included Classical, Pop, Rock, R&B, Jazz and Folk.

Steve has performed classical guitar to an international level, in various ensembles. He is a regular soloist with the Burton Sinfonia. Steve is also a member of the Staffordshire Performing Arts Guitar Society, and has played a number of professional concerts with them.

Steve has also recorded several albums of his work with Paul Riley as part of the Duo 'Demon'. Steve has also been a musical judge for several talent competitions including the anual 'Staffordshire Rocks' competition, organized by the local authority, for school based rock and pop bands.

Steve hopes his passion for music is conveyed to his students, and with his entusiastic approach to learning Steve finds his students excel.
