Steve Churchill
Steve is the head teacher at Derby School of Music. He teaches Piano and Keyboard at the music school and is an accomplished musician with over 30 years of experience.
Steve is a highly qualified teacher, having gained a PGCE from Manchester Metroploitan University in 2005 in addition to his BA (Hons) degree in music which he acheived in 2003. He then became the Special Educational Needs Teacher for Music at Stoke-On-Trent College. Steve always brings the best out in his students and has a specialism in teaching music to students with learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome etc.
Steve is a multi-instrumentalist, and is well versed in all styles of music. He is a tutor for the Congleton youth Orchestra, and has been Musical Director to Several Midlands Based Brass Bands.
Teaching music is the reason Steve gets up in the morning. He enjoys passing on his vast knowledge of practice, theory and technique to students of all ages. Steve hopes to inspire the next generation of British musicians.
