Patrick Jorgensen
Patrick started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 14 and spent every spare second he had practicing, going to gigs or listening to music.
His passion was deeply rooted in rock and blues, but after getting his BA (Hons) in Popular Music at Derby University, he found an enjoyment in many new genres, most of all funk.
Patrick has played in a variety of bands including an original groove metal band '28 Double', as lead singer and guitarist. With the band Patrick recorded an E.P and toured the UK. He also played lead guitar for the country singer 'Kira Mac'. Patrick also has a regular gig with The Incredible Skank Brothers, (a ska band that plays all over the East Midlands). He was also the bass player and second vocalist in his own band 'The Royal Affair', who were a function band predominantly playing at weddings across the country. Patricks latest venture is an acoustic duo act called 'Gentry'.
Patrick now works in a secondary school as a music teacher, he also oversee's the schools music tech department and theatre productions. Patricks experiences with recording and live performance, help when it comes to capturing the performances of students. Patrick has always enjoyed working with kids, and remembers the excitement he felt when picking the guitar up for the first time, and how his teacher was able to inspire him to go as far as he wanted. Through hard work, countless hours and dedication Patrick achieved what he wanted. That is the sort of passion he want to instil in his students, with a bit of fun along the way.
