Alice McMichael
Alice is an experienced singing teacher having taught privately for many years. Alice has trained in vocal performance and opera studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and more recently completing a Post Graduate Diploma at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Alice teachers all styles including Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Classical and Opera. Alice has great success putting her pupils through exams with Rockschool (Pop and Rock), London College of Music (Musical Theatre) and ABRSM (Classical). As a top singing teacher, Alice's pupils have regularly attained some of the highest marks in the country. Exams are not always necessary, and Alice has many pupils that take lessons purely for pleasure or relaxation.
As a performer, Alice has sung in venues across Europe and America with the world renowned Cantamus Girls’ Choir, winning many competitions including the Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year and the Eisteddfod. She is also a seasoned soloist regularly performing with the choir of Ely Catherdral. Alice's performances have also regularly been broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Alice is as passionate about teaching as she is live performance. She is experienced in putting on concerts and singing at events and likes to involve her pupils. Alice enjoys teaching young people and adults of all ages, and understands the importance of promoting correct technique and vocal health in her vocal training. Correct technique and noticeable vocal improvements, leads to enjoyable and progressive lessons.
